I just sent out my first message using icontact. Not sure if I like it or not. Took me awhile to get the message done and I wanted to insert a photo of two but didn't want to spend all day! LOL!
I have been taking some wonderful metal and glass classes and I am trying to practice what I have learned. Meanwhile the Art Glass Patio Show is around the corner so I am busy getting ready for that. Here is the info:
Spring Art Glass Patio Show - May 7th & 8th, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm both days Spanish Village Art Center Balboa Park 1770 Village Place San Diego This year the Art Glass Guild and the Chula Vista Nature Center are partnering to educate and promote increased awareness of art glass and San Diego's bay natural wildlife. The Chula Vista Nature Center will have marine life interactive displays for children and adults. It is sure to be a fun weekend! Bring your Mother, kids, husband, friends and family! I hope to see you there!
Directions: The Patio Show is located at Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park, between the Natural History Museum and the San Diego Zoo, just off Park Blvd, on Village Place. \ For more info go to www.artglassguild.org
STUDIO 9 - SPANISH VILLAGE ART CENTER, BALBOA PARK In case you don't know I have become a partner with Chris Stell in Studio #9 at Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park. I started out just helping her out and she talked me into becoming a partner. It has been a great opportunity for me. It is like having a retail studio. I work there on Saturdays from 11am to 4pm. I have two cases of my jewelry and beads. Spanish Village is a beautiful place to spend time. So now if you are looking for beads or want to see what I have been working on you can always stop by.
Chris Stell does incredible fused dichroic glasswear & housewears. Everyone is so attracted to them when they enter the studio. She likes bright colors as I do. Here is a link to her website to get a taste of what she creates. www.chrisstell.com
In addition to Chris and I, the other artist in the studio is Vaughn Nelson. . Vaughn creates incredible ceramic pieces. Lots of details and whimsical shapes and colors. You can see his pieces at www.onebluemarble.com.
I am also in the Art Glass Guild, Studio 25 at Spanish Village too so if you are in the village be sure to check them out.
Here are a couple of photos of some new jewelry pieces I have been working on.
